2. What data we collect and why

2.1 Rental requests

When you submit a rental enquiry we collect:

• First and last name
• Email address
• Phone number (optional)
• Desired rental period (pick-up and return dates)
• Requested equipment
• Your message (optional)
• Timestamp and version of your consent

Purpose: Processing your rental request, contacting you, and completing the transaction.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent via checkbox).
Retention: Reservation data is retained for a legally appropriate period after the completed transaction and then deleted or anonymised.

2.2 Cookies and local storage

This website uses only technically necessary cookies and local storage. No analytics, marketing or tracking cookies are used. All entries are permitted under § 25 para. 2 no. 2 TDDDG and require no consent.

2.3 Server logs

Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically records technical log data (IP address, browser type, access time). Application logs contain no personal data — only technical IDs.

2.4 Analytics

This website uses no third-party analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics). No data is shared with advertising networks.

3. Hosting and data storage

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. Reservation data is stored in a database operated by Supabase in the EU Central / Frankfurt region. Data processing agreements (DPA) under Art. 28 GDPR have been or are intended to be concluded with both providers. No transfer of your data to countries outside the EU is intended.

4. Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access – information about stored data (Art. 15 GDPR)
• Rectification – correction of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
• Erasure – “right to be forgotten” (Art. 17)
• Restriction – limit processing (Art. 18)
• Portability – receive data in machine-readable format (Art. 20)
• Objection – object to processing (Art. 21)
• Withdrawal of consent – at any time without retroactive effect (Art. 7)

5. Security

We implement technical and organisational measures to protect your data: encrypted transmission via HTTPS, database access controls (Row Level Security), password-protected admin area with httpOnly cookies, no storage of payment data.
