Carat A-1821 NASTROC – Diamond Core Drill
The Carat A-1821 NASTROC is a 1,800-watt diamond core drill for wet and dry operation. Two mechanical gears, a water connection, dust-extraction connection and PRCD support the appropriate drilling mode.

Read the operating instructions
Before first use, read and follow the supplied operating instructions and the manufacturer’s safety instructions in full.
Wear personal protective equipment
As required for the task, wear eye protection, hearing protection, protective gloves and safety footwear. Wear close-fitting clothing, tie back long hair and remove jewellery or anything else that could become caught in the machine.
Crushing and entanglement hazard
Keep body parts away from moving components. Never reach under or into the machine while it is running. Maintain a safe distance.
Trained operators only
The machine may be operated only by instructed persons who are physically and mentally fit. Do not work under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication, or with any condition that impairs concentration.
Maintenance and repair
Perform maintenance, cleaning and repairs only when the machine is stationary and its drive is disconnected. Repairs must be carried out only by qualified personnel.
Intended use
Do not overload the machine. Use it only within the manufacturer’s specified operating range and for its intended purpose. Use original spare parts and accessories only.
Electrical voltage warning
Disconnect the mains plug before cleaning, maintenance or repair. Inspect power cables for damage before every use. Electrical installation work may be carried out only by a qualified electrician.
Equipment-specific instructions
- Operate through the specified PRCD. Test it before each use and protect the cable and plug from moisture.
- Before drilling, locate electricity, gas, water and reinforcement and obtain structural approval for load-bearing components.
- Secure the core because it can fall through and strike people on the opposite side; cordon off the area.
- Hand-held operation can produce high kickback if the bit jams. Use the auxiliary handle and a firm stance. Securely anchor or brace a drill stand.
- Drain water safely during wet drilling and use a water-collection ring overhead. Keep the work area clear of slippery slurry.
- For dry drilling, connect suitable dust extraction and wear respiratory protection; do not inhale silica-bearing dust.
- Wait for run-down after switch-off. The core bit and core become hot and sharp.
- Wear safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves and safety footwear.
